Michi Aceret
Michi joined JAMaROO Kids as a full-time teacher in the beginning of 2024. She is a San Francisco native and has had a passion for music and the performing arts since she was a young child. Michi is a professional violinist and has been on both national and international tours for the Broadway Plays Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen. She also toured with a band called SunKilMoon in the US and overseas in 2004.
Michi enjoys sharing her love of music with children. She has over 15 years of experience teaching private and group violin classes to children of all ages. Prior to joining the JAMaROO Team, Michi worked at San Domenico School in San Anselmo, teaching violin to children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. She is excited to bring the violin to JAMaROO Kids classes and introduce the instrument to all her new friends!
When she is not teaching for JAMaROO, you will find her playing the violin at weddings, corporate events and various shows that come into town! Michi loves spending time with family (especially her niece and 3 nephews), going on long walks while listening to her favorite music, and watching Somebody Feed Phil!
When asked what she loves about working at JAMaROO, she said, “this job brings me so much joy inside and out. To take children on a learning adventure through music, movement, and art is such a special gift. There’s no better feeling than seeing the wonder in children’s eyes!”
