Shelby Chopra

Shelby Chopra joined JAMaROO Kids in September 2022 as our full-time, onsite operations manager and teacher! She was instrumental in the opening of our JAMaROO Kids Club on Union Street, where you can find her working Monday through Friday. Shelby has a degree in Music Education from Kansas State University and grew up studying music and the performing arts.

Shelby’s background in education includes teaching for 6 years in public schools before joining JAMaROO Kids. She has been a music, band, choir, and orchestra teacher in both Elementary and Middle schools. Shelby’s love for music started at a young age, since she comes from a large musical family, and she learned how to play piano from her grandmother as a child. Shelby has been playing flute for over 20 years and loves to sing for fun! She has experience in Jazz, Mariachi, Choir, musicals, and instrumental music. As a child, she studied ballet and gymnastics.

In Shelby’s free time, she enjoys watching movies with her husband, playing with her dog, and doing DIY projects around her new home!

When Shelby was asked what she loves about working for JAMaROO Kids and working with children, she said, “I love interacting with the kids everyday and seeing their smiling faces. I really enjoy being a part of the community.”
