Rachel Winningham

Rachel Winningham joined JAMaROO Kids in the Spring of 2024 in a dual role of instructor and member of the admin team with over 20 years of early childhood education and teaching experience!

Her career with young children prior to joining JAMaROO Kids includes working as a personal nanny and teaching in various preschools throughout the Bay Area. Rachel’s years of experience and solid understanding of children’s development allow her to curate learning experiences that are fun and engaging. She studied Child Development at College of Marin and holds over 37 ECE Units.

Rachel taught alongside JAMaROO Kids’ Founder Jamaica Stevens back in the early 2000s at a North Bay Preschool along with Lori Landers who is also part of the JAMaROO Kids Admin Team. As a youth, Rachel took choir in Middle School and ended up enjoying it more than expected! She also dabbled in a few piano classes and put on “concerts” for her family at home.

Rachel is a Bay Area Native which may explain her love for the SF Giants! In her free time, you can find her attending their games with her daughter Addy, attending various musicals and plays, hiking, baking or curling up with a good book. She also enjoys photography.

When we asked Rachel what she loves about working at JAMaROO Kids she said, “I love seeing the happy faces of all the kids as we sing, dance, and make music together. It brings me so much joy to be able to offer and provide a fun and exciting class that inspires their curiosity and ignites a passion for the arts. I hope to bring as much happiness to the children as they bring to me. I also love the supportive team atmosphere at JAMaROO, which makes for a wonderful workplace.”
